The story of Painted Light

The story of Painted Light derives from Walt Disney and his vision for Disneyland Theme Park. Legend has it that when Walt was walking around the park one day, he noticed that the alternating red and white light bulbs at the Coca-Cola “Refreshment Corner” on Main Street contained an odd number of bulbs. The electricians had installed two white bulbs next to each other to solve the issue, but Walt’s attention to detail was unsurpassed and, after noticing the problem, he directed his staff to paint half of the transition bulb red to continue the alternating colors.

This story, which so vividly exemplifies Walt Disney’s dedication to excellence and his relentless focus on the customer experience, is our inspiration at Painted Light.
